Audio Books (German language)

Martin Heckmann works as a narrator for audio books in both the English and German language and since founding of his own children’s audio book label, in 2005, he has been increasingly active as an audio book producer.

Around the end of the fifteenth century, before Columbus sets sail on his first voyage to America, two Spanish adventurers cross the Atlantic bound for the west. Ideally suited for students of the German language, this account of the arduous journey between the old and the new world lingers like a powerful dream.

This is the first of a series of audio books that invite the listener into an exciting and adventurous world. With breath-taking sequences the listener is taken on a fantastic journey that begins with a daring ocean crossing, leads to the unwilling integration into the culture of an ancient Indian tribe and follows the labyrinthine trail of this mythic world into the heart of the Aztec realm.

In the dark yew alley leading up to Baskerville Hall, a lonely country estate on the high moor, the body of Sir Charles, one of the last of the Baskervilles, is found. There are hushed rumors about the return of the huge, black, phantom dog which is said to have terrified the neighborhood in times long gone. With his unwavering belief in the explicable nature of all things and a very large pinch of male intuition, Mr. Sherlock Holmes tackles the task of solving an obscure murder case. This Sherlock Holmes detective story is a veritable classic from the pen of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
